SCAREHORN CANCELLED DUE TO INJURY

DJ bbgun, our DJ and technical wunderkind, broke her ankle. Because we at Airhorn believe in doing everything to the extreme, she massively broke it, in 4 places, and did it while we were visiting her family in America. So we are somewhat stranded here as we await surgery, as the doctors advised that she cannot safely fly in her present condition.

After a lot of talk and consideration, we (Lesa, myself, and the rest of the cast) decided to cancel this Scarehorn due to this unforeseen situation. DJ bbgun does a tremendous amount for Airhorn, handling all the sights and sounds of the show. I, Zach, also cannot make it but that is less of a deal. She is literally the airhorn of Airhorn.

While we do make a lot of goofs, we sincerely aim to give you the biggest, wildest, and most technically polished show we can muster. We want it to be an absurd value, each month a unique night to remember. We could not guarantee the level of quality we require without DJ bbgun. It is also difficult for the two of us to help from afar, as all our time is spent navigating the modern American medical system with only kiwi traveler’s insurance (it’s Kafka-esque! Specifically his short story ‘In the Penal Colony’, i.e., the whole system is an overly elaborate torture device).

AND THE GOOD NEWS! We will be back next month, stronger than ever. We will ensure the entire Airhorn cast and crew stays away from anything unstable, whether it’s loose rock, bunched carpet, or slippery tile. We will all be medically cleared to give you the greatest December Airhorn in the history of December Airhorns. It will be kafka-esque: by which I mean the beguiling quality across work that is absurd, yet physically humours, near slapstick, almost vaudevillian and the legend of his live readings where he could not stop laughing.
